Granny squares and that Muji notebook

I think I do best by getting personal with my crafts and taking photos of them. I was kind of lost and wasn't sure I wanted to keep the blog title. I'll decide about the blog URL later. Good thing is that I never stopped crafting. So here I am finally really talking about crafts again.

At my mom's home I found my old stash of yarns. Though I could not think of a project for every kind of yarn I found, it made sense to create granny squares from all the leftover acrylic yarns. The shades of blues and neutrals seem to work well together.

Meanwhile, I crocheted several small purses as tokens to some friends. On this special one I decided to create a big one to fit a personalized Muji notebook. The Muji store always intimidated me until my Singaporean friend and I decided to spend my last night in Singapore in the Japanese store. So that night I stamped away. Much later, I decided to add more scribbles. I mean, how could I not?

Gelly Time

It's been a while since I last touched my pens. That didn't sound right but what I meant is that I've spent too much on the Internet that it's been a while since I last doodled. The virtual dosage has exceeded the recommended limit and I know that whenever I feel drowsy in the mornings at work.

Gladly, my brother gave me this planner from Stabucks Philippines. I am not into branded planners but this one's a gift so I have no more excuse to stop writing. Indeed, my handwriting looked like hieroglyphics on the first day I wrote in the diary. The text looked very boring so a sprinkle of scribbles here and there made the entry more interesting.

I actually have so many notebooks from black books to plain white cartridge paper pads. They all have some drawing in it but since there is no date on each page, nothing really pushes me to sketch regularly.

I was also reminded, after cleaning up today, that I still have a lot of gel pens, felt pens and colored pencils stored in my craft boxes. I can see that they are quite bored waiting for me. Guess I'll have to take it one at a time.

Honey, we ran out of ketchup

Another crazy miniature stories from my head.... My friend thinks I should put up a new blog for all those tiny stuff.

The ketchup bottle is empty. Barbie wanted to use it for some burgers but then she has to resort to noodles again. Good thing her aunt sent over some fresh croissant.

It took me days just to make the miniature bread from paper clay. I had to let them dry overnight and paint them. Crocheting the baskets and napkins is quite easy. The only challenge is to be patient with the skinny threads and make sure you have big enough eyes to see where the loops are.

My sis thinks my there's madness in my room after she's seen all those papers and little things I've collected. My mom thinks I'm crazy but she agreed that she would probably have done the same if not for other important things. When I was a kid, my mom made me a doll house and painted it white. I wished we finished it. We were caught up in life. Someday, hopefully we will.
